1. Washington Aerospace Job Opportunity and Career Expo
- Estimated attendance was 2,750 which included recently graduated students, displaced workers, and currently employed looking for a career change
- Had 10 aerospace and machining companies and 10 community/technical colleges as exhibitors
- 250 high school students from 5 schools attended to gain information on careers and education in aerospace and manufacturing
2. Working to provide a skilled workforce through Dept. of Labor "Air Washington" Grant

- A consortium of 10 community/technical colleges throughout the state of Washington were awarded a $20 million grant through the Dept. of Labor
- Development of a 2 quarter pre-employment program that will offer aerospace-contextualized basic skills training/education for adult learners
- Development of a web-based ESL curriculum component using the I-BEST model
- Development of prior learning assessments (PLA) especially for active military or veterans to evaluate credit/classroom advancements based on military experiences and training
3. Higher Education/Industry Collaborative Projects
- Presentation to State Board of Community & Technical Colleges Board of Trustees updating members on how the CTC system is responding to the needs of the aerospace industry in our state
- Presentation to the Labor & Workforce Development Committee led by Representative Sells regarding the collaboration of the ACAT colleges through the CoE and the involvement of Boeing
- Panel member for the House Higher Education work session focusing on the collaborations between industry and education and needs that are being experienced
- Representative at the National Association of Manufacturer’s (NAM) Education Committee Meeting in Washington DC

- Increased production of 737 through supporting the development of a trained workforce
