Air Washington Grant

Through the 2011 Department of Labor "Air Washington" Grant we are working to provide a skilled workforce.

Here's more about Air Washington:

It's a consortium of 10 community/technical colleges throughout the state of Washington that were awarded a $20 million grant through the Dept. of Labor
There is development underway of a 2 quarter pre-employment program that will offer aerospace-contextualized basic skills training/education for adult learners
We are working to develop of a web-based ESL curriculum component using the I-BEST model
Finally, development of prior learning assessments (PLA) especially for active military or veterans to evaluate credit/classroom advancements based on military experiences and training is in process.
